Two more people have been arrested in connection with a robbery at London's Heathrow Airport in which over twenty individuals were injured by what is thought to be an irritant spray, as stated by law enforcement.
A man, 24, was taken into custody in the Lambeth area for suspected robbery and assault and a woman, 23 was detained on suspicion of conspiracy to commit robbery. Both individuals are still being held, the force said.
The arrests come after a probe into an assault at the multi-storey car park at Heathrow's Terminal 3 this past Sunday. Before the attack, two women were robbed of their suitcases after getting out of a car park lift.
A toddler aged three was one of the those hurt during the incident. Five people went to hospital for treatment and were later released.
Police arrested a man in his thirties for suspected theft and assault close to the location. He was subsequently released under investigation while inquiries continue.
Police were alerted at approximately 08:10 GMT after reports came in regarding several individuals injured by a noxious substance believed to be pepper spray.
The attack - which authorities stated was isolated and not considered terrorism - resulted in delays to rail services and the partial closure of the main airport tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park for a short time.
